Today's hashpoint was very close! Almost a couch potato, only 155 meters from my home. Conveniently also Pastori and The Wife were visiting, so we had a nice big group to make a morning stroll to the hash-site. We were quite sure the point was inside another house, but of course we had to go to check it first-hand. It might be on their driveway, or in the hedge between two houses.
After breakfast, and waiting for the day to lighten up a bit (sunrise at 9:00), we started our expedition. The weather was, like it has been for a month now, very gray. The cloud cover was amazingly thick and the temperature was +1°C. Air humidity was about 99 %, the nearby hilltops were covered with fog. We walked up the road to the hashpoint, my daughter carrying for some reason a rake.
At the hashpoint we zeroed the hashpoint to be inside the garage of the house, just as it had been on the official map of the National Land Survey of Finland. Seems that the map really is accurate when it comes to the placement of the buildings. We didn't let the failure affect our mood, but completed our stroll to the playground of the block, where the smallest member of our expedition team had a fun time swinging and running, and the rest of us had a fun time watching her.
