Plans

I planned to go there after work, because it was an easy 1km walk from the train station.

Expedition

I took the train to Saalfeld to get some more use out of my ex-student-all-of-thuringia train ticket before it expires at the end of the month.

I thought it would be a nice walk on a sunny afternoon and was a bit disappointed when I had to walk next to a very busy street. But after crossing the Saale river, I was able to continue on a nice bike path at the river banks. The walk took me to a little park area containing the remains of the old city walls, so I spent some time there and enjoyed the sun.

The rest of the walk was rather boring as I went through a residential area. The hash point was apparently in the walls of one of the houses, but I got as close as I could.
