Get to the vicinity of the geohash by public transport, walk the rest of the way, hope the homeowner is amenable to a visit, and return the same way.
Expedition
I didn't reach the neighborhood until after dark. Plus, it was raining a little bit, and I hadn't prepared for that. However, it had let up by the time I had to take out my electronic equipment.
When I got to the target house, it appeared nobody was home. I got a picture documenting how close I got before the next-door neighbor advised me to leave (the first negative interaction I've had while geohashing; probably not coincidentally, my first post-nightfall interaction).
