On the curb in a residential area in Utrecht
Eupeodes will be there at 4 pm, with a printed geohasing poster
JwBwill go now, 9.45 am. improper perhaps, but the afternoon will be spent elsewise. will put a postit on a drain or a mailbox nearby.
Prepared with streetview, the hash is on the curb in a residential area, nearby a recently abandoned old hosptal builing. I decided to drop by on my way to do weekend shopping. Will prepare fish-soup for friends tonight. Found the street with no problem, but the accuracy on my tablet-gps dropped, so i could not really get a low reading on the thing despite walking up and down the curb. The droid app told me i was there, at an accuracy of 18 meters. Went around the building, but there i also got no lower than 18 meters. on the front side that was better, and i decided to put a post it on a drain near to where the hash must have been. Took pictures of the street and of my grin. After shopping the weekend groceries in town, decided to pass by again. Again accuracy dropped but i was sure that i must have gone over the hash by now. Screenshot made and attached.
Went by bus and train to Utrecht, from there I hoped to walk to the hash. On my way I found my way blocked by the jaarbeurs. My gps indicated a walking route but it clearly wasn't there, took the tram around it and walked the last part to the hash. Arrived 3:59 p, so just in time. My gps had a hard time between those tall buildings indicating my position over 30 meters wrong (but still insisting that it was only 6 meters off). I found the marker of JwB and after a few minutes standing there pointless I headed back home. Because I forgot to bring tape or anything else sticky I couldn't really do anything with te poster.
