Expedition

After much hemming and hawing and many changes of plans, the time available for Thomcat was after 9pm. I missed OtherJack's message from 8:00, but after visiting the neighborhood I wouldn't advise a visit anyhow.

Took 405 south from 520 and then back to Seattle. First exit after the tunnel and straight up the hill, maybe a mile. From the front, the house looks completely abandoned. The screen door hangs at an angle off the hinges and the yard is overgrown. No house number is evident, and no lights. I snapped an Android picture with the dim illumination of a nearby streetlight.

Looping around and into the alley, the back yard is fenced in with a rolling fence. Much as demonstrated in the satellite photo, a mass of junk is behind the fence. Perhaps taken from the interior of the house? Not sure - it's dark and hard to tell. There is one vehicle in the middle of the yard, a newer van or pickup truck. While there are no signs barring entry, I snap a photo over the fence (no flash on my phone), upload and leave.

I've noticed NWoodruff claiming success for being within 10 meters fairly often - 2009-07-02_34_-84 as one example. While I was within 7.65 meters of the geohash point, tonight was not what I consider a success.
