I've been wanting to get another shot at the Crouch, ID graticule, which so frequently has hash points that are difficult to reach. So when today's coordinates looked to be extremely reachable and on a weekend, I knew I had to go for it.

We got off to a later start than we'd hoped, so we scrapped some early plans to go fishing at Cascade Lake after the hash. The drive up to the area of the coordinates was beautiful, much of it along the side of a whitewater river, in the bottom of a steep, forested canyon. On the way, we passed the turn off for the failed hash earlier this year where we got stuck in the snow. I wanted to go up and reach this one retroactively, but the wife vetoed that idea.

We found the turn-off for today's hash without any problems. We found a place to park a few hundred feet down the road from the hash, and got out and walked the rest of the way. My phone was intermittently having a hard time getting a good GPS fix, so the GPS dance took longer than it sometimes does, but I'm fairly sure that I crossed through the exact point at least once. Coordinates reached, we took some pictures and headed back to the car. We proceeded to drive around sightseeing in this highly scenic area for another 40 minutes or so before heading back towards home.
