The plan is to leave Champaign-Urbana ~2pm, head out to the geohash site an hour and a half away and squeeze in a bit of hiking at the Eagle Creek State Park or the Wolf Creek State Park before heading back.

The original poster came back and marked it as "Coordinates Reached" and edited the participants list, so presumably the expedition happened. It would be nice to see some details though.
