Expedition

Felix Dance

The previous night, Haydn, Joel and my housemate Brad all went to Walkerville where we engaged in some dubious late-night foresty downclimbing that somewhat scared the shit out of us. Tonight, attempting to recreate the awesomeness, I convinced the others to go geohashing, since I'm going on about it all the time. The four of us minus Brad but plus Welsh/Scottish site engineer Frenchie all jumped into Haydn's car and sped off towards the geohash.

Failing to take the car down the dodgy four-wheel-drive track towards the point, we walked one-and-a-half Ks down the fence-line of the geohash-property before jumping over and marching directly towards the location. After foolishly climbing up and down an unnecessary bushy hill we were there. We spent half an hour eating a picnic dinner and beering it up over a few homebrew longnecks before heading back to the beach track. Dodging a St Andrews Cross spider on the way back we were soon re-vehicled and heading home. Too easy.

Here is the Google Maps route we took.
