Nothing much, just down in AZ visiting Phoenix family in the dead of winter. And it's still a hot couple hundred foot walk. Take plenty of water.

OK, So I didn't take my real GPS to Phoenix, but I had my xmas ipad & its app, so let's give it a try.

Not so good. Maybe it will get better, maybe I will get better using it.

I wandered around the spot a while. The coordinates on the photo calculate as 23 ft away from the hash location, but the numbers were moving around. I don't know the specs on the iPad2 GPS, but if you look at the panorama you will see that one spot's about the same as the next.

The displayed coordinates were drifting around a little. I think this represents a 23 ft distance from the real hash numbers.
This was a little area just off the transPhoenix bike trail.
A nice old e-type Jag was leaving the lot I parked in when I got back.
I know that it's a big file, but if you print it out and tape it end to end and then stick your head in the middle of the ring you just made, then you can look around and pretend that you are in AZ. And see that it's all about the same, 23 feet here or there just don't matter.
