I'm going to see if I can make it to the hashpoint on my way back from the Columbia
[edit] Expedition
I had gone to Clatskanie to visit with friends as well run an errand. On the way back, instead of taking the (quicker) route over Cornelius Pass Road, I took Hwy 47, adding a detour down Hwy 203 to see if I could make it to the hashpoint.
It was slow going due to the poor weather as well as not being sure where I needed to turn. I really need to remember to always get those in-between points out of Google Maps before I set off.
I finally found the unmarked Fish Hawk Mainline road and headed up it. Eventually I hit a gate with a couple of miles still to go. I think I could have passed by on foot, but given the growing gloom and the rain and the fact that I was tired convinced me to give up.
I took a photo of the gate, as well as the Elk that were grazing in a field on the way.
I continued on to home, where I found some Thanksgiving leftovers still remaining.
