[edit] Plans
Get to the location, ask permission to enter the backyard and access the hashpoint.
[edit] Expedition
Today's hashpoint was located in the far northeast of the graticule. Since I live in the southeast of my home graticule, this offered me a good opportunity to visit a neighboring graticule and start on my Minesweeper achievements.
Careful inspection using Google Earth revealed that I was not likely to be able to quite access the hashpoint without permission from the local residents. Upon arriving at the house, I knocked on the door and it was answered by a rather suspicious young lady, who looked at me like I was crazy when I explained why I had a camera and wanted access to her backyard. Nevertheless, she granted me the permission and after a quick dart into the woods, I had my hashpoint. Learning from yesterday's mistakes, I actually took a digital camera with me and got a couple shots at the hashpoint. I then grabbed a few pieces of geotrash and set about going home.
