This was my first hash of Twenty Ten. How exciting. I left for it early because I wanted to get back with enough time to workout before the football games began. Because of that, no one could go along with me due to my friends not knowing what the morning Sun looks like. So I went alone and...

Voila!, the المغامرة!:

I left around 10:30 EDT. The snow was still out, so that, too, meant ice hadn't melted yet. Oh well, I was in the mood for an adventure. I loaded my new GPS (I'll miss you sexy British lady, but my new Garmin has Japanese. いいですね!) with the day's coordinates and headed on my way. The drive took about an hour. I passed a deli called 33 which I ate at after the hash. The roads were fine and salted all the way until the very last one -- Sharps Chapel Rd. Dear god, was it icy. I had my first experience on Alaskan roads, and I tell you, I was more cautious than a pissed goose. As I approached the hash, I parked on the side of the road. I was sure people would think I had wrecked, so I hurried my pace to get to the hash point. I switched my GPS to "Pedestrian Mode" (I'm tellin' yeah, my new toy kicks ass) which made getting to the hash SO much easier than looking at straight-up coordinates. While a electric-fence-collared-dog barked incessantly, I got to the point, took a picture, and headed back. Some people stopped to ask if I was fine and so did an Ambulance. Thanks for Southern Sumerians. The EMT asked if that was my car (pointing at Snowball of course) which led me to think someone might have called in my car due to its suspicious nature. Anywho, went on my way, hoping not to slide, and made my it to 33. The food was okay, no better than McDonald's, but the atmosphere was unique. And that is what I liked about it.

That's it. Happy New Year's!
