It was the first expedition with my new GPS (a Christmas gift I received shortly after my 2009-12-26 50 9 expedition). As expected, getting to the coordinates was easy - by train to Darmstadt-Eberstadt, then I just had to get through Eberstadt's industrial area, enter the forest and follow nice hiking trails.

I made ice!
I don't think the bird survived :(
Back in Heidelberg: Hundreds of rose-ringed parakeets. Some were hungry...
...but most of them were already going to sleep
