I figured that since I had Christmas Eve off, the boy and I would steal away to give the wife a chance to finish up some baking in peace. The terrain around the hash looks pretty reasonable, and it's not even a mile off the road. Cool.

Drove up there, then got worried when I got close and found POSTED signs. Uh-oh. Sure enough, it was on all the land that we needed access to. The Forest Road was closed to boot, but it wouldn't have made a whole lot of difference. At closest approach, we were all of 3/4 of a mile from the hash. The saddest part was that the three year old was even more disappointed than I was. He was totally bummed out. How do you really explain that to a three year old??
