I drive out to the subdivision where the hash spot is. I notice from google maps that there appears to be a dirt road that may go back behind the houses and would be an easy access to the hash spot.

I park in front of this dirt road and I notice that it is a path way for the sewer system. I walk about 20 feet on this dirt path and my feet are sinking into the ground as it is very saturated with all the rain. The closer I get to the fence the more strong smell of open sewage there is.

I reach the fence and decide to turn back. I'll try knocking on the door of the house closest to the hash spot. I drive up the street and pull into the driveway of the house. I get out and knock on the door. Nobody home and the yard is completely fenced in. No luck here.

As I pull out of the other side of the driveway, I notice that there is a flood plain running in between the two houses. I get out and walk down this flood plain crossing a stream a couple of times by trees that have fallen down recently.

I find the sewer access road first by smell and then by sight as I pass through some over grown vegetation. The smell of raw sewage is almost sickening. I walk to the hash spot at this point thinking that it is in the water. Another 10 feet off to the side and the hash spot would have been in the water.

I take a few pictures and then make my way back to Norcross.
