From Geo Hashing
[edit] Expedition: Pierre's first geohashing
For my first geohashing, I planned things a bit, bit didn't take track of my expedition at all. So I thought about taking a GPS, old shoes and strong jeans, but not once did I think to write anything down during the expedition.
So, basically, I just crossed the border with Chris (in his car, as mine is nothing but a junk pile that somehow moves), compared the spot to the Google Map satellite view and saw I was in the right area, then wandered in the woods while carrying the GPS. Then I removed my clothes (this was a very hot day), and successively earned the geoflashing, formal attire and circus achievements. Finally satisfied, I came back home. It's a good thing my sidekick Chris was there to help me. He doesn't want to be a member, but wants to be mentioned nevertheless, so I guess this is all the credit he'll get!

In Luxembourg, you can find two things: Banks and cows. We found ourselves in the cow part.

We didn't have a Citation, so we just used Chris' car.

OK, the GPS wasn't the best tool we could have had, but at leat I had my trusted towel. I never go on an adventure without my towel.

We couldn't get closer than this. But we walked around this location for so long than I'm sure we steepd on the spot at some point.

Geoflashing on my first attempt at geohashing: SUCCESS.

... immediately followed by a Formal Attire achievment: SUCCESS.
|
... while showing some circus abilities, of course still wearing my new suit: SUCCESS.
