The hash was located on a field, belonging to a privately owned farm. Expedition failed :(
Bird is normally in 55,10, but since that graticule is nearly 50% water, he went west this time. Mother was driving north on unrelated business, so I had her drop me off in the nearby (10 km) town of Vejle. After walking for some time, I reached the place. Really pretty, undisturbed farmland, with only a few houses breaking the endless rolling meadows.
On the way, I found a whole bunch of reeeally old Danish coins scattered on one side of the road, ones that haven't been in circulation since before I was born! Quite odd, so I snapped a few pictures of them.
After walking some more, I reached the place, but alas, turns out it was on a crop-field, and that field was Private Property :(. Neener neener. So I go onto a nearby grassfield, assuming it's just no-man's land and no one cares anyways, getting as close as I can to the hash-point without entering the crops. I sit down, since it's still only about 3:45 PM, just in case someone else shows up.
20 minutes later, I conclude that no one else will come, so I get up, stamp XKCD into the grass, take a few pictures, and start on my merry way home (78 km away). But then as I turn to leave, a car pulls out of the farm that the hashfield (hahaha) belonged to, and he stops next to me and asks me WTF I'm doing. I give him the school-project explanation, which he seems to believe, but when I tell him that me and my school are both located on Funen, an island 50 km southeast of where we are now, he seems veeeery skeptical. And then he tells me that he was burglarized recently, that he assumed that's why I was there, and that when he saw me (must've looked pretty weird, me stamping the grass and taking pictures of it), he was sitting by the window with his RIFLE debating whether or not to SHOOT ME. I don't know if there's a ribbon for that yet, but if not, THERE SHOULD BE.
