After Manu's successful expeditions on Good Friday and on Holy Saturday (which we did together by bike) we decided that it's worth travelling 30 km by car to get to the Easter Sunday hash. We started the day before around 11 pm, so that we would have enough time to find a place to park the car and walk the rest to the hashpoint located somewhere in the wood before midnight.
Everything went very well, it was a not too cold night after a really warm day in April, so we reached the coordinates with our flash lights about 30 m besides a forest track, took off some clothes, put a blanket and a sleeping bag on the ground and lay down to enjoy the clear starry sky and the untouched nature (apart from the Autobahn A73 which was only some hundred meters away and brightened our nice place from time to time, when a car passed.) until it got midnight. How romantic!
Stop! How could, right in this godforsaken place, one car pass us on the small forest track which we came from on Saturday at 11:55 pm? We took our heads down ... waited ... and prayed ... that the driver won't see us - annoyingly, I forgot to take my jacket down from a small tree, but obviously it hadn't had enough reflecting stripes to reveal our presence. The car slowly disappeared behind some turns, but terrifying enough it was!
So we finally could continue undressing, took some pictures for evidence (the batteries and my digital camera nearly gave up after some flashes) exactly at midnight and had some wonderful time beneath the sleeping bag (which was too small for two people) ...
After another couple of minutes of enjoying the silence and breathing the fresh forest air, we got up, dressed and walked back to the car ...
